The Local 'YOU-cation'

The Elements reBOOT is a week devoted to you: a week to get outside and experience unique woodland walks with like-minded friends. No expensive flights, jet lag or shock of reentry, reBOOT right here and let The Elements D.C. lead the way.

We’ve crafted a way for you to reBOOT without having to skip a beat, leave town or spend a mint. Each reBOOT is a week long and includes 20+ hiking adventures throughout DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Outings are scheduled throughout each day of the week (see schedule below). You can come on any or all of the walks. Our pace is brisk, but flexible. You can also take advantage of the discounted Elements Add-Ons (see details below). The result? A stronger, healthier, more grounded YOU!

$75 - 12 reBOOT walks + discounted Add Ons (yoga/Hike RECESS can be purchased separately)

Sunday morning Woodland Walk 

  • Neighborhood: Palisades and Potomac River
  • Time:10:00 - 11:30am
  • Description: Woodland and river side trails

Sunday afternoon Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: Chevy Chase and Upper Rock Creek Park
  • Time: 5:30 - 7:00pm
  • Description: woodland, hilly, single and double track trails, some stream crossings

Monday Sunrise Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: NW DC: Cleveland Park neighborhood
  • Time: 6:15 – 7:00am
  • Mileage and Trail Conditions: 2.5 miles, hilly ups/downs, some single track, some city sidewalk
  • Lead: Margaret Rietano

 

Monday Morning Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: DC: Chevy Chase: Forest Hills, NW
  • Time: 8:30 – 10:00am
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions: 4.6. Woodland. Hilly ups and downs. Single Tracks.
  • Lead: Celine Delany

 

Monday Mid-Day Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: Great Falls/McLean, VA
  • Time: 1:00 – 2:30pm
  • Mileage and Trail Conditions; 4 miles round trip. Mostly woodland trails, hilly, single and double track trails

Monday Dusk Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: NW DC: Wesley Heights neighborhood
  • Time: 5:30 – 6:30pm
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions: 2+ miles of hilly, single track and double track trails

Tuesday Sunrise Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: NW DC: Georgetown
  • Time: 6:15 – 7:00am
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions: Hills, single and double track trails. approx 2.5 miles

Tuesday Morning Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: NW DC: Cleveland & Woodley Park Neighborhood
  • Time: 9:15 – 10:45
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions:4 miles. Woodland trails and hills and dales

Tuesday Mid-Day Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: Virginia: McLEAN
  • Time: 12:30 – 2:00pm
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions: Hilly up/down, double track & single track and some steep ascents/descents along Potomac River banks. ~5+/- miles

Tuesday Dusk Impact Tour of City Kids Wilderness Project and Urban  Walk

  • Neighborhood: Adams Morgan
  • Time: 5:15 – 7:15pm
  • Learn about The Elements partner non-profit, City Kids Wilderness Project from 5:30 - 6:30. After ‘Impact Tour” the Elements reBOOters will explore Meridian Hill Park and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Wednesday Sunrise Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: NW DC: Cleveland Park neighborhood
  • Time: 6:15 – 7:00am
  • Mileage and Trail Conditions: 3 miles, hilly ups/downs, some single track, some city

Wednesday Morning Yoga in the Elements

  • Neighborhood: Palisades neighborhood
  • Time: 8:30 – 10:30am
  • Distance: 2 mile + 50 minute yoga practice
  • Lead: Margaret Rietano and local certified Yoga Instructor; Lindsey Truitt

 

Wednesday Mid-Day Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: Maryland: Chevy Chase
  • Time: 12:30 – 1:30pm
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions: 2.5 miles. Woodland. Single track a & horse trails. Hilly ups and downs

Wednesday Dusk Shinrin You (Forest Bathing) Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: Burleith & Wesley Heights
  • Time: 6:00 - 7:00pm
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions: 2 to 3 miles. We will take a slower pace and take time to savor all the woods have to offer.

Thursday Sunrise Walk Georgetown

  • Neighborhood: NW DC: Georgetown
  • Time: 6:15 – 7:00am
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions:1.6 miles. Double track paths. Rooty, rocky and hilly in some parts.

Thursday Morning Woodland Walk

  • Neighborhood: Palisades and Potomac River
  • Time: 9:30 – 11:00pm
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions: 4 miles of trails and some sidewalks

  • Neighborhood: Kalorama and Georgetown
  • Time: 12:00 – 1:30pm
  • Mileage and Trail Conditions: 3.5 miles, single and double track trails

  • Neighborhood: Wesley Heights and Palisades
  • Time: 6:00 – 7:00pm
  • Mileage & Trail Conditions: 2-3 miles. Double track path, Rooty, rocky and hilly.
