Sunday, Oct 22 or Tuesday, Oct 24

  • Arrive  and settle into the George’s Hotel. Check in is after 4:00.
  • Dinner is en route or on your own.  Elements is happy to provide Lexington restaurant suggestions as well as gather as a group if arrivals are around dinner-time.
  • 9:00 – 9:30pm Introductions and Orientation Meeting – fireside at Taps (the bar at The Georges).

Monday, Oct 23 or Wednesday, Oct 25

  • 6:30 – 7:30am Pre-hike Yoga just around corner from The Georges at The Center for Gravity Yoga Studio
  • Breakfast at The Georges
  • 8:30am; departure for trail-head for Little and Big House Mountains. Shuttle transport provided.
  • All-day hike with trail-side lunch provided. Hike will be between 6 & 8 miles with lots of ups and downs, great vistas, babbling brooks and beautiful foliage. We will proceed in the elements unless weather conditions are dangerous or extreme.
  • 3:00ish – Shuttle pick up from trail-head and return to the Georges for some post-hike treats including a cold beer from local brewery, The Devil’s Backbone.
  • Relax (schedule a massage, take another yoga class, explore Lexington or keep it simple and take a nap) until dinner time. For those that so desire, gather on the terrace at Taps (the hotel bar) for a drink before dinner
  • 7:00pm: three Course dinner at Taps (for our Oct 22 – 24 reTREATers) or The Red Hen (for our Oct 24 – 26th reTREATers).
  • Sleep well!

Tuesday, Oct 24 or Thursday, Oct 26

  • 6:45 – 7:45am: You wouldn’t want to come all this way and not get a chance to see Lexington. Enjoy an early morning walk with Margaret around Washington & Lee’s historic Collonade and Lee Chapel, the side streets of Lexington and the Stonewall Jackson Historic Cemetery
  • Breakfast at The Georges
  • 9:00am: hike at Crabtree Falls; No shuttle service will be provided for the Wednesday hikes. Plan to check out of hotel (unless you arrange for a late-check out) and head home from the Trail Head.
  • Trail-side picnic is provided for those on hike.

Elements reTREAT package includes

  • 2 Elements guided hikes + Margaret and my assistant, your Elements Guides, 1 pre-hike yoga class, 2 gourmet picnic lunches, post-hike local brew, afternoon tea on the terrace of the Georges,  3 course dinner at The Red Hen, transportation to & from Tuesday trailhead, guided-walk through Lexington and Elements reTREAT Gift bag.
  • Hotel accommodations for 2 nights at The George’s is reserved independently and includes breakfast. Any bar bills or alcohol at dinner paid separately.
